Gemma Conway graduated with a BA(Hons) in Fine Art from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design in 2015 and during her 3rd Year of study she spent a semester at the Australian National University in Canberra, Australia. In 2016, Gemma graduated with a MLitt in Fine Art Practice at The Glasgow School of Art. She continues to live and work in Glasgow.

Gemma's work has always been inspired by the people, from all walks of life, that she passes on the street everyday. She represents figures in an abstract way which encourages viewers to make their own assumptions about who these people are based on the little information provided.

Gemma works in many different media including painting, sculpture, printmaking, video and photography.
